Attention world. The folks behind one of my absolute favorite local beverages -- ever -- is looking to expand availability. After launching at CREMA in 2012, Matchless Coffee Soda quickly drew national acclaim from chefs, baristas, and writers at Food & Wine, Imbibe, Thrillist and more. Subsequently, sales grew such that the café could barely keep up with demand, prompting Nathanael Mehrens, along with partners and fellow coffee aficionados Sean Stewart and Jamie Cunningham, to join forces with Ben Bredesen of Nashville’s Fat Bottom Brewery to grow the Matchless Coffee Soda brand. Now, with methods, equipment and branding in place, the team is ready to expand production and distribution to meet the demand (!!).
