Bonnaroo 2017 - The Official Summer Kick-Off
It’s Tuesday, and I’m just now recovering from an epic weekend at my very first Bonnaroo Music Festival. Just an hour away from Nashville straight down I-24, this modern-day Woodstock is held essentially in our backyard – and should absolutely not be missed, especially by any true lover of music. Perfect weather, free-spirited people, great food, high-fives all day long, and a focus on quality music are just a few highlights of what is now one of the best festivals I’ve ever attended. Stress simply didn’t exist amongst the tens of thousands of attendees frolicking through the 700-acres of grassy fields, making it a brief, but much-needed escape from reality.
Despite the almost-perfect weather for this 2017 ‘Roo, sometimes we needed a break from the sun. Thanks to Subway for gracing us with the Green Room, which was the perfect respite to catch some much-needed fuel: air conditioning, free sandwiches, water refills, cell phone charging stations, and even a DJ spinning hot tunes. Being a one stop shop for “all the things needed at the 'Roo” the Green Room was a daily destination for our crew – so, big thanks to Subway!

If you follow @experiencenash on socials, you were able to see a look into the happenings of 2017s festival (and if you don’t, give us a like!) – including highlights from the killer line up of artists. Chance The Rapper, U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lorde, The Weeknd were among the headliners; Tegan and Sara, Cage the Elephant, and Michael Kiwanuka (the guy behind the theme song to one of my favorite series, Big Little Lies) were among other acts that made up this years’ talent. Past performers include the likes of Kanye, Sir Elton John, Billy Joel, and Jay-Z: It really doesn't get any better.
SO. Let’s all agree 2018 can’t come soon enough, and the lineup -- can the past be topped? Counting down the days until January when we find out who will be rocking the stages next summer.
