Top 8 Essentials for Bonnaroo 2017
Y’all! Bonnaroo is only HOURS away, so I thought it would be the perfect time to create a necessities guide to have you fully prepared for this years’ festival. What must you not leave home without? I’ve got you covered, not to mention I’ve got the perfect refreshing beverage to kick back and enjoy some tunes with -- Angry Orchard Hard Cider. Keep in mind, Bonnaroo has a ton of fabulous vendors and a general store (in case you forget certain hygiene products), but preparation is key – and will save you $.
#1: BOTTLED WATER
Hydration is KEY to survival – and, you are allowed to bring sealed bottles into the festival.
#2: Sunscreen + Bug Spray
A sunburn on day one? Miserable. Mosquito bites that drive you crazy with itching on day two? Equally as bad.
#3 Proper Clothing
Raincoat, boots, a light jacket, comfortable shoes, backpack, and an umbrella are all necessities. Prepare for any type of weather, the cooler nights forecasted, and of course with any rain you want to stay as dry as possible.
#4 The Ultimate Pre-Festival Jam Playlist
Accompany your prep time via a pre-jam session with a refreshing Angry Orchard Crisp Apple. Put together a playlist of your favorite U2, Lorde, and Cage the Elephant hits and get your groove on whilst putting your items together and feeling relaxed as you enjoy refreshing hard cider. Also handy for the drive into Manchester – the playlist that is.
Protein bars and trail mixes are a great idea for quick snacks that can withstand the heat on the farm. Nobody wants to party with the hangry version of you.
You’ve heard the rumors: long lines, traffic, massive crowds all dominate Bonnaroo. Go in with a relaxed attitude – you’re about to experience the best live music festival in the world. With CMA Fest and The Stanley Cup finals happening in the Nashville area as well, it’s going to be a bit of a mess. Just remember: U2 is worth it.
#7 A Full Gas Tank
Speaking of traffic, you must be prepared to wait in it – ensure you are at a full tank before arriving to the festival.
#8 Angry Orchard Hard Cider
You’re already good and hydrated, so make sure and partake in the perfect beverage to kick back and enjoy tunes with: Angry Orchard. Easy Apple is my personal go-to, an easy-drinking cider ideal for longer, warmer days (aka, the ideal weather at Bonnaroo). Easy Apple has an incredible, complex flavor profile with quality ingredients: all balanced via Fuji, Granny Smith, and bittersweet apples. Oh, and it’s gluten free, too! Should you happen forget to pick some up, both Easy Apple and Crisp Apple will be available at the festival!
Now that you’re fully prepared, let’s do this! See you at the farm.
